FXL

Product Description

FXL is an intumescent material which expands without any pressure in the case of fire. As a fibreless material, FXL has good mechanical properties. In case of a fire, the material forms - even at high temperatures (900°C), a stable, micro porous and heat-shielding layer.

Applications

FXL has been developed for general sealing applications. The material is suitable for applications where a lack of pressure is indicated.

Filling joints between fire-resistant doors and frames, roller-shutters, windows and adjacent walls
Jointing wall junctions and filling of cavities in junctions and cable ducts
Insulation of steel

Available sizes

FXL can be supplied in rolls or strips in thicknessess ranging from 0.8 - 2.5 mm and in widths between 9 and 340 mm. FXL can also be supplied with a self-adhesive layer and with PVC or aluminum backing.
